Data Deletion

This page explains how to delete the data Craft Technology processes through Business App Numbers, including data received via Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform.

What can be deleted

• Your account and workspace (organization) data.
• Connected WhatsApp account references (WABA id, phone number id) and encrypted access tokens.
• WhatsApp contacts, conversations, messages, and status events stored in your workspace.
• Message templates and related records.

Option 1 — In the app

Sign in and go to Settings → Data & Privacy. There you can:

• Disconnect WhatsApp — removes the connection and deletes stored tokens for that number.
• Request account/workspace deletion — removes your workspace and its associated data.

Option 2 — By email

Email info@crafttech.net with the subject "Data Deletion Request", including your account email and, if relevant, the WhatsApp number concerned.

Option 3 — Meta data deletion callback

If you initiated deletion from Meta/Facebook, Meta sends a signed request to our data deletion callback at crafttech.net/api/data-deletion. We verify the request, delete the associated data, and return a confirmation code and status URL as required by Meta.

Timing & exceptions

We process deletion requests within 30 days. After verifying your identity, we delete or irreversibly anonymize the data. Some records may be retained where required by law (for example billing/tax records) until the applicable retention period ends.
